Project Umami


Umami (or the “Company”) engages in the restaurant or food service sector specializing in barbecue dishes that blends traditional and Western flavors. The brand is also catered towards middle-to-upper class segment and mainly targets groups of people.


Established in 2015, the Company pioneered its innovative restaurant concept - groovy, fun, and welcoming, that is now being replicated elsewhere. It now has four main businesses: full-fledge restaurant (restaurant and bar), express outlet, frozen products, and catering services.


As of today, there are 2 full-fledge outlets located in Bali (owned) and Greater Jakarta (franchise model). With standardized cooking method and reputable suppliers, Umami is able to maintain its flavor profile no matter which outlet customers visit and has successfully created new menus along its lifetime, which includes both local Indonesian and Western dishes.


The Company is currently looking for an investor/partner who will partake in supporting the growth and potential expansion of the business. Viable strategic plans allows the Company to establish a stronger presence in the market, this includes opening new outlets, strengthening its catering services, and selling its frozen items. Currently, existing founders are seeking to cash out initial investment in the Company and remain as minority shareholders.
